Context

SHLTR is an open-source, AI-assisted self-build housing project: one off-grid prototype in Fusa, Norway, every design file public, and the process documented as it happens.

The project spans research, the build, GitHome, a book, and a future platform. The useful implementation lesson is the shape of the system: technical drawings, real constraints, structured decisions, and public evidence instead of real-estate marketing language.
